Week Wrap-Up

Well, break is officially over. We took advantage of the snowfall over the weekend to do some sledding. And Bethany and Jonas got their Easter pictures taken on Sunday. They were both very smiley and got some great pictures! It was hard trying to choose just one! Today it was back to school for me, and Bethany was happy to be spending the day with Jonas and Aunt Sarah again. I definitely missed hanging out with her though.

Grandma's Day!

Bethany spends every Monday afternoon with her grandma while Aunt Sarah heads off to school. Just now I got home and connected my camera to the computer to find pictures of Bethany!! Thanks, Grandma. Here's Bethany mid-wave. Probably not the best picture possible, but at least you get the idea. And here she is finally in our nice warm apartment. Man, is it cold out today!!P.S. I wrote this whole post, and then it suddenly occurred to me that it was probably Sarah who took those pictures. Ah well, thanks Sar!

Sledding!!!

Yay for snow! Today was the first time we were able to use the baby sled, and Bethany loved it!!! She kept trying to grab the snow, so I eventually forced mittens on her, but even that didn't ruin the trip for her. My baby's a Buffalonian for sure.

Wildlights!

The Columbus Zoo has the coolest Christmas lights ever. Luckily, it was a gorgeous day out, so Bethany didn't need much bundling to join everybody venturing out to kick off the Christmas season! We met up with Uncle Pete and Aunt Kim, along with various members of their family, and Bethany met yet another Uncle Andy!! What fun! As for the Christmas lights... well... people are so much more fun to look at.

Going to the Zoo, ooh ooh

Today was Bethany's first time to the Buffalo Zoo - and I wasn't there! Her Uncle Mike took her while he was babysitting. What a fun uncle she has! She looks all warm and bundly, doesn't she? She has on a giraffe onesie for the occasion... you just can't tell with all those layers. It's the thought that counts, right?

The Aftermath

We have power! After an insane 48 hours, I'm back to recap. We got home Thurs night, as you know, in a ridiculous snow storm. Matthew woke up the next morning, attempted to go to work, and was back in the apartment 5 minutes later scaring the heck out of me. We hung out in our bed under the covers, in no power, trying to keep warm, and eventually headed over to my parents' house (where we took these pictures) to take advantage of their gas stove and fireplace. We slept over, bundled in sleeping bags, and woke up to STILL no power. But, my sister Sarah had power, so we headed back over to her place for the day. We just got home not too long ago, and are very thankful to be warm, having light, and all our small forms of media.

Thank you, electric company... you definitely had your work cut out for you!
