Crohn's Walk

We finally had our Crohn's Walk yesterday. A big thank you to all who generously sponsored us - we raised over $800! Bethany enjoyed the walk, and we came in dead last! Thankfully, there wasn't a time limit! After the walk, we took advantage of our free admission to the zoo to see the new rain forest exhibit. Fun!

Random Rebekah

Have I told you lately that Rebekah has the cutest smile? Well, she does... and I love the way her tongue is inevitably involved in every grin.

Camping Misadventures, Episode 3, Day 2

Saturday we were with everyone again. Well, kind of... all the big people were going to try out the jet skis. Instead, A.Kim and A.Paula got stranded way out on Lake Erie with a broken jet ski!! Some nice fishermen had to rescue them. On the bright side, I got to ride on a swing for the first time.

After the jet ski was abandoned, we all met up at the beach. I loved relaxing with A.Kim, and even tried my hand at Bethany's "longhorns." I think I could get used to that!

Bethany, on the other hand, spent most of her time in the water. It was nice and shallow and warm, kind of like a big bath! All the uncles and Daddy had fun entertaining her.

The Joneses

We had so much fun playing with the Joneses all weekend (in between wedding commitments). I think Bethers developed a crush on Matthew... she's going for the older boys!

Rehearsal

Camping Misadventures, Episode 2, Thursday

Wednesday night there was a very windy thunderstorm. So windy that our screenroom started blowing away! The stakes came right out of the ground! Poor Daddy and Mommy had to go out in the storm with the flashlight and take it down so that they didn't lose it. Bethany and I slept through it all. Because it was so gross out, Thurday was tent day!

Before we left, we did get to take a walk along Rondeau Bay, and get ice cream (again). And we got to enjoy one last campfire!

Camping Misadventures, Episode 2, Tuesday

We started our day on Tuesday with a little hiking. No one told me how buggy hiking can be!! I almost got eaten alive!

So we decided to go to the beach. Less bugs. The water was very cold, but it was nice and sunny. Perfect beach weather. Bethany braved the water a little bit, but liked being in the sand more. I liked hanging out with Daddy!

Rashy

Prayers for poor Bethany! She's been fighting a fever all day and has a rash all over her back and belly. Needless to say, it's been a lazy day here... Bethany even sat through a movie!

An Unhealthy Birthday

Despite several family members, including myself, not feeling well, I had a wonderful birthday! How could I not with a cake like this??

Say No to Napping

This looks like a little girl who needs a nap, right? Apparently not. Soon after this picture was taken there was a very unsuccessful attempt at putting her down to sleep. Bethany does not want to miss any of the fun, no matter how tired she is!

The Browns

We traveled to Tennessee for our Thanksgiving holiday to see the entire Brown family. Bethany is still very attached to her cousin, Maddee! Maddee found her a bead necklace on our first day there, and Bethany had it around her neck the rest of the weekend. I think it was her favorite gift of the week!Bethany caught up with the rest of the family, too, including some Yahtzee time with Great Grandma, and her cousins, Evann and Ailey! She is so into dice. We were thankful for Bethany's good health this visit, and that she got to actually get within 10 feet of Ailey. They make quite a pair. Bethany's cousin, Sarah, got in some good reading time with her... and for some reason didn't make it on any of my pictures.

Ball Game

Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary had tickets to the Bison's game yesterday, so Bethany and I got to go with them. Bethers was unusually mellow - probably due to a missed nap!

Brown Butt

Bethany was so tired after our long day of decorating yesterday. She was very thankful when Grandma came to pick her up so she didn't have to stay at church all evening. But, good news! It's all done!P.S. Notice her brown bottom in the second picture? Yeah, she sat down in brown paint before I could stop her...

Allentown

Today we went to the Allentown Art Festival. So much fun! We checked out some of the architecture, too, giving Bethany a chance to walk around and get away from the crowds. The picture below is of the Cornell Mansion, built in 1894. (Andy C., you'd really appreciate this part of Buffalo!) We need to explore here again after the festival is over.

Uncle Mike's Draggin' Birthday

Aunt Sarah and I made Uncle Mike a dragon birthday cake Thursday - which was quite appropriate since his birthday was over a week ago! We had lots of fun celebrating, and Bethany enjoyed eating one of the dragon's scales. Meaning, she had her first graham cracker. Yummy!

Major Leagues

We rounded up our weekend of baseball with a day trip to Cleveland to see an Indians game. First Major League game for both Bethany and me. The rain held out until the bottom of the ninth, and Bethany had a much better time than I was able to capture on film.

New Taggie!

Bethany took her new taggie blanket for a spin today. Her grandma and I made her 2 new blankets last night, and she's already attached. We went to the zoo with Grandma and Great Grandma, and mimicked the sea lions barking. Bethany is getting really good at her animal noises! She went on the train for the first time too, and enjoyed it much more than the carousel.

Bethany's Friends

Bethany made a new friend this weekend. Little Evalyn Grace! She was really into rocking her in the car seat! Matthew came over, too! He showed her how to use his new camera, and she showed him her cool bead chain. And, of course, Bethany got another kiss goodbye!

Party Weekend

We've traveled all over this weekend. Friday we went to Delaware Park and the zoo, which I actually have pictures for. Saturday we had a baby shower for Cousins Greg and Tara, and graduation party for Bethany's old babysitter Beth (also a good friend of the family). Then today! Mother's day! We went to Great Grandma Sirgey's to visit the family, then out putt-putting and for ice-cream. What a day. And little Bethany made me a photo frame out of popsicle sticks. Very cute!

I am loving these pigtails this morning. My baby is the cutest ever.
