The Party

The party was awesome! The present opening was kind of crazy - the big kids opened most of Bekah's presents for her. She was ok with that because she got them once they were out of the packaging. She loved her cell phone from G.G.s Faye and Richard.

I'm so thankful for Rebekah. Her sweet, happy nature is a constant blessing in our house. We love hearing her babblings, and watching her think new things through. I love how she's already so much different than Bethany - such a unique personality to love!

Party #2

Ok, back to birthday pictures! The Friday after Bethany's birthday we had a party at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Bethany's favorite present was definitely a new purse from U.Mike and A.Mary. After opening it (and all the goodies inside), she immediately had to have her nails done. Then she put on her makeup. What a girly girl! She got tons of cute clothes, too, which will be used a lot this summer.

Party #1

We had a nice little get together for Bethany down in Columbus with all the tree guys (Daddy's high school friends). I made her a flower/star cake, depending on who you asked! Either way, it tasted delicious. Grandpa and Grandma got Bethany lots of presents (she's very spoiled, or well-loved... I'm hoping usually the later)! She even got a bottle for her baby.

Thanksmas!

Bethany is a pro at unwrapping presents. And after unwrapping, she takes the time to inspect the gift and have some fun with it. What fun this Christmas season is going to be!

One Today!

Wow, I am so overwhelmed by all the comments! I love it! Little Bethany is one... can you believe it? I think this time last year I was finally getting to sleep after being so worked up all day. Matthew was so good to me, too. He stayed with me until I was barely conscious.

Anyway, Bethany celebrated a year of life today with a trip to Camp Pioneer with Uncle Mike and "Aunt" Mary. She got home to me around 5:00, and we spent the evening making her birthday cake! We let her open one present today, too. (As opposed to at her party on Saturday.) Here's her opening a present from Great Uncle Larry and Aunt Marie - a very soft, pink sweater. She loved it! Almost as much as the wrapping paper...

Last Day of Christmas

Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with my family. Bethany was much healthier, so had tons of fun opening presents! Her grandpa and grandma gave her a fun toy to put on her high chair, and this really cute dress, which she really liked, despite the look on her face.
Uncle Mike drew Bethany's name in the exchange, and got her musical toys! They were playing music the whole way home in the car!

Green Christmas

Christmas morning began with a long running Sirgey tradition - a picture at the top of the stairs!I think this is the longest I've ever spent opening presents. Bethany took her time helping to unwrap and inspect all of her presents. She got a lot of cool things, including her own cell phone, fun toy shelves (although that may be more fun for her mom!), and blocks that do all kinds of crazy things.
She also got "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," and her own Max stuffed animal!
Finally, her one good present from her mom and dad - a build and spill musical turtle. She loved it!

Pre Christmas

The Saturday before Christmas we were in Columbus, and celebrated with the Laffertys. Bethany got to see all the Coshocton Laffertys, except for poor Michael who was home recovering from knee surgery. Her favorite present of the day was this red bow.
Although she did enjoy this Noah's Ark book, especially the finger puppet animals that came with it!!
What a very fun day kicking off the Christmas family get togethers!

Christmas Eve poor Bethany started a pretty bad cold. Despite the stuffy nose and lack of energy, we went to a great Christmas church service, and opened a bunch of family presents so that Grandpa could join in the fun (He had to work Christmas morning). Most of Bethany's presents were saved for the next morning, since she was very tired. But, needless to say, Grandpa and Grandma were very generous!

All the present excitement seriously wore Bethany out, so she cuddled with her daddy in her new slippers from Uncle Joe and Aunt Sherry.
Then she grabbed her candy cane balloon, and headed to bed... tomorrow's Christmas!
