Dedication

dedication gown

Beautiful Abigail on her dedication day! My grandma made the gown she's wearing for my baptism - very special!

Abby with godmother Mary

Abby with her Godmother, Aunt Mary! We're so thankful that she has such an awesome aunt - my brother sure knows how to pick them. Her Godfather, "Uncle" Pete, was needed back in Ohio, so couldn't make it up. Abby can't wait to meet him!!

Science Museum

Bethany and Rebekah had a fun outing with Grandma and Papa to see Sesame Street at the Science Museum. Bethany says her favorite part was Big Bird. Rebekah, of course, went for the obstacle course!

Both my older girls couldn't wait to hold Abby. Thankfully, Abigail is pretty easy-going so far! She'll have to be to grow up in this family.

The Party

The party was awesome! The present opening was kind of crazy - the big kids opened most of Bekah's presents for her. She was ok with that because she got them once they were out of the packaging. She loved her cell phone from G.G.s Faye and Richard.

I'm so thankful for Rebekah. Her sweet, happy nature is a constant blessing in our house. We love hearing her babblings, and watching her think new things through. I love how she's already so much different than Bethany - such a unique personality to love!

Sirgey Christmas!

We went over to Grandma and Papa's on New Year's Day for Christmas! Bethany and Rebekah got lots of presents and had a great time hanging out with everyone! Bethany is a Christmas pro, she posed for a picture after every present she opened!

Crohn's Walk

We finally had our Crohn's Walk yesterday. A big thank you to all who generously sponsored us - we raised over $800! Bethany enjoyed the walk, and we came in dead last! Thankfully, there wasn't a time limit! After the walk, we took advantage of our free admission to the zoo to see the new rain forest exhibit. Fun!

Pool Party

We attempted swimming again Sunday evening while visiting A.Marie and U.Larry. Rebekah had pretty much the same reaction, but ended up braving the water to be with Papa. Bethany insisted on spending most of her time in the water in the crab, and Bekah tried out the pool bar.

Uncle Larry sure knows how to make Bekah giggle!

Fantasy Island

We took a trip to Fantasy Island today. Bethany had such a good time! She went on all the rides she could, and was very brave. Her favorite ones were ones that went fast (surprisingly enough!). The bug ride and boat ride were by far her favorites, and she asked to go on them over and over. Other rides, such as the tea cups, were a little too boring for her, and she just sat back and relaxed. She was a little hesitant to go in the cold water in the water park too much, but she did get brave enough to go down the cool dragon slide. Overall a really fun day!

Niagara Falls

Bethany and Rebekah went to Niagara Falls on Monday to visit Grandma and Papa on their vacation. Bethany's favorite part of the whole trip was the trolley, which she learned to say and talked about for the rest of the day!

Work Day

After our Lockport outing, we headed to U.Mike and A.Mary's house to help try and make their house livable for next week. As in help, I mean we tried to keep Bethany out of everyone's hair. Which basically just means we sat around and watched everyone else work, and got free pizza for it. Bethany loved singing "Head, shoulders..." with her Grandma though!

Old Man's Cave

There's a reason Old Man's Cave in the most popular attraction in the parks. It's amazing! Bethany's favorite part was all the boardwalk bridges... she loved running across them. It's also amazing how someone so little can move so fast.

Hocking Hills Pool

We ended our second day with a very refreshing swim in the pool. Even Bethany enjoyed it! She had everyone "swimming" her around, and really wanted to go down the slide. Maybe when she's older...

Ash Cave

After a yummy picnic dinner, we hiked Ash Cave. Gorgeous! There's tons of sand at the cave, and Bethany sat down and played in it for a while.

New Cousins and Food

Bethany finally got to meet Geoff and Claudy on Wednesday - and she's getting a new cousin in January!! Congrats! Bethany is oh-so-excited. Yesterday we went to the park for lunch. Bethany enjoyed the end of my sub, and loved being able to see Daddy in the middle of the day!In the evening we went to watch Uncle Mike's hockey game. When he lost, we all went out for ice cream to cheer him up. (At least that was our excuse.) Grandpa gave Bethany the bottom of his cone... yummy.Come on, Daddy, don't you want a kiss?

Faker Knight

Last Thursday we all pretended we were Catholic and crashed a Knights of Columbus steak dinner picnic. Bethany got to see some of the Herdlein gang, and went down the slide like a big girl. Although most of the time was spent being a Grandpa's girl. Go figure.

Engagement

Big news! Bethany's getting a new aunt!! Uncle Mike proposed to Mary tonight. And the family got to witness it and enjoy a Bisons game! If you want the whole scoop, you'll have to ask them.

Birthday Cake

Bethany had a spring theme for her birthday party today. And see that amazing cake? Sarah and I made it all by ourselves. Aren't you impressed? (I know my Roberts girls are proud of me.) Bethany loved her first taste of actual junk food. She savored it quite a bit, which is good considering it won't happen again until year 2!
Here's all the party guests!
