Power-nap

Earlier this afternoon, I put Bekah on the floor to finish her bottle, and she promptly fell asleep thusly:

It wasn't long until she startled herself awake, only to fall asleep again almost immediately:

She woke up 15 minutes later, ready to face the world; I'll wager it was her first power-nap!

Teether

With our little teether, Matthew and I have been living for moments like these. We will be so happy when those teeth finally poke through! (As will Bekah, I'm sure.)

Baby Burrito

The hospital recommends wrapping your baby up like this to sleep. Bethany usually hated it, and kicked out of it immediately. Rebekah, on the other hand, can't sleep without it. This blanket is a lifesaver.

Camping Misadventures, Episode 2, Wednesday

Daddy and Mommy weren't quite convinced about the ridiculous amount of bugs, so we tried hiking again on Wednesday. As you can probably guess, way too buggy. Didn't bother me too much though!

I got everyone all excited with all the smiling I did. I love camping!

In the afternoon, we went mini golfing at this really rinky dink course. Bethany got a free club and ball, which was nice because she turned Daddy's and Mommy's games into a game of fetch. Of course, Mommy probably preferred that over having to keep score and see Daddy whip her butt. After we were done playing, we got ice cream! Yummy!!

Relaxing

All that outdoors really tired poor Rebekah out! Until about 11:00 that is...

Picnic

On the spur of the moment, our family took a trip to Columbus this weekend. Despite the last minute decision, we had a very busy weekend. Saturday we went to the park for a picnic lunch. How could we not when every 10 minutes Bethany asked, "Park?" And once again, Bekah slept through it.

Hot and Sticky

My girls have been braving the heat this week!! Lots of baths, nakedness, and popsicles! (Ok, no popsicles for Bekah, only Bethany.)

Exhausted

Grandma!

Grandma Miriam is in town! Bethany's monopolizing most of her time, but she's snuck in some quality time with Rebekah, too. After all, who could resist such a beautiful little baby?

Say No to Napping

This looks like a little girl who needs a nap, right? Apparently not. Soon after this picture was taken there was a very unsuccessful attempt at putting her down to sleep. Bethany does not want to miss any of the fun, no matter how tired she is!

Big Girl

Bethany tried out her big girl bed yesterday. She was great through her naps, and loved being able to just walk out to us when she woke up. Nighttime was not so smooth. She fell out around 12:30, and not knowing how early it was I went to sleep with her and block her from falling out. Of course, then she woke up at 6:30, and fell out again trying to get over me to climb out. So... I think she'll be in the crib for nighttime again for a little while!Way to sweep Northwestern, Buckeyes!!!

Roberts Getaway

Some background for this post: I hung out with the same 5 girls all through college. Four years later, we decided to have a reunion-type weekend. So, off on another camping adventure we went! We had hardly any rain, which was wonderful, and Bethany had fun with her friends.
She was a little uneasy around the "big" kids, so I didn't get a picture of her with Jaycelyn, and this is the only one I got of her with Brenin. Much different than last year when she didn't care at all.However, she loved Layla! Probably because she's not too unlike Jonas. Bethany helped us pack up Sunday morning for the ride home.

Party Weekend

We've traveled all over this weekend. Friday we went to Delaware Park and the zoo, which I actually have pictures for. Saturday we had a baby shower for Cousins Greg and Tara, and graduation party for Bethany's old babysitter Beth (also a good friend of the family). Then today! Mother's day! We went to Great Grandma Sirgey's to visit the family, then out putt-putting and for ice-cream. What a day. And little Bethany made me a photo frame out of popsicle sticks. Very cute!

Sleepy

I still can't get over these pigtails. Why did I not think of it before?

Happy Easter!!!

We celebrated Easter at the Sirgey's this afternoon. Everyone was there, including Grandpa Jon and Grandma Miriam! Bethany got all dressed up - we're trying to get as much use out of her Easter dress as possible. She got lots of goodies, too. Check out Jonas's blog for more fun pictures of the day.

Sick Bug

Pray for little Bethers today - she has the flu! So much for the flu shot keeping her from getting sick this season. I guess you can't prevent all flus, huh? Anyway, she's pretty tired out, and has been sleeping since 6:00. Hopefully we won't have a midnight rendezvous.

Sleep the Day Away

When you're feeling sick, suddenly you can sleep anywhere anytime. Bethany has fallen asleep in some very cute positions lately.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Bethany has been braving the cold pretty well. She's getting a little bit of a chapped chin, but nothing we can't handle. She's spent the past couple of days hanging out with Jonas doing Christmas shopping. What fun! And she's climbing every couch in sight. We just need to work on learning how to sit back down!

'Tis the Season

Bethany went to the mall this morning with her Uncle Mike, Mary and Jonas. They must've worn her out pretty good because she was seriously knocked out when I got there to pick her up. I tried just talking to her to wake her up. Didn't work. Wheeled her out to the car in the rain. Still sound asleep. It wasn't until I unbuckled her and lifted her out of the stroller that she stirred. What a tired baby! Then she took a good nap from 6:00 to 8:00 (of course), and is still awake as we speak. That hasn't happened in a while...
