Who would've thought we'd end up with three beautiful girls? We're enjoying watching them learn and grow, and we love showing them off almost as much! Stay tuned, because our life moves fast!

Sick Bug
Pray for little Bethers today - she has the flu! So much for the flu shot keeping her from getting sick this season. I guess you can't prevent all flus, huh? Anyway, she's pretty tired out, and has been sleeping since 6:00. Hopefully we won't have a midnight rendezvous.

Fisher Price, Again
The trip to the mall would not have been complete without another visit to the Fisher Price area. Bethany discovered a new toy - the learning home. She entertained herself for quite a bit playing peek-a-boo with me. Then she showed Jonas how to rock out on the keyboard, and he showed her his favorite toy - the awesome activity table. They are so cute together, aren't they? We would've gotten a picture of them together in the Mustang, but by the time the big kids were done playing Jonas was asleep. What can you do?

Crazy Day
Fisher Price Paradise
After getting bored at the beach, we headed to the other end of the mall to play with all the fun Fisher Price toys. Bethany's favorite, by far, was the baby keyboard (go figure). She cried every time we took her away from it to show her something new. She also took a spin in Jonas' dream car - the Mustang. She looked so good in it she picked up a boy without even trying. An older boy, too! She's going to be a heart breaker, that's for sure!
The Beach
Bethany, Grandma, and I went to the mall today to go to the beach - just like Jonas did! Bethany was not quite sure what she was supposed to be doing at first, and she had me worried that she was going to hate getting dirty like her dad. I buried her feet in the sand and she was super confused that her toe seemed to be popping out of nowhere. Then we moved on to a sandbox table, which gave Bethany enough guts to get her hands dirty! Yay! She spent a good half hour moving the sand around and making sure Grandma and I were getting in on the fun.

Toothy Update
Bethany has all four of her front teeth now! (Sorry I haven't given more up-to-date toothy news.) Check them out!
Today started out rough, with Bethany and I toppling over in the parking lot on the way to her Aunt Sarah's. Don't worry, we're both fine, with the exception of me getting a few nasty bruises. You wouldn't even know Bethany was involved at all in the fall... thankfully! She spent the rest of the day showing off her standing skills and hanging out with her best buddy. (Jonas, not me.)

How big is Bethany?
I looked at my blog today and thought, "I really need a picture of Bethany with her daddy." So here you go, my two favorite people. Matthew's working on teaching her how to high five... which at this point is her just slapping your hand repeatedly. She's getting there though.
I love this picture, too. My baby is "so big!"

Double Feature
These videos were taken at the same time on Sunday, while Bethany's grandma and grandpa were up. She's such a cute, cute girl, and so close to walking! She can stand way longer than the clip suggests, and she's getting pretty awesome at walking holding on to one finger, too. It won't be long!

Birthday Party
We celebrated my birthday today at my parents' house. Mom and Dad L came up to join in the fun! Bethany ate tons and was a full, happy girl all night.
Side note: Bethany's Great Gram was in the hospital today for Salmonella poisoning. Thankfully she's ok and home, but it explains Bethany's bathroom problems she was having last week - she had peanut butter crackers at Great Gram's! What a tough girl I have.

Tunisia
Bethany had another "country forum" tonight at UB. She learned all about Tunisia, a very interesting country in Northern Africa. She got to see her friend, Maissa, dressed up in traditional Tunisian clothes. She even sampled some Tunisian food! She ate Cous Cous, and then had Meghli (floured rice pudding) for dessert. She absolutely LOVED the Meghli. PS Check out Bethany's very cute Valentine's Day outfit. She didn't really see anyone yesterday, so we waited a day to show off the outfit.

Wheel of Fortune
Today we had dinner at Great Gram's. After a very nerve-wrecking few minutes, Bethany warmed up (again) to Gram and became her usual, goofball self. She was a tired girl for most of the visit, so I suppose she's not to blame for the initial anxiety. By the end of the night she was half-naked (due to a diaper incident) cuddled in a blankie watching "Wheel of Fortune" with Gram. Can life get any better?

So Big!
Bethany learned the motion for "so big" yesterday, thanks to Grandma Sirgey's friend Barb, and she's very proud of herself. I've been pretty much bed-ridden today, so Bethany and I had fun playing on the couch. Isn't she the cutest baby you've ever seen?

Chinese New Year
Ni hao? Bethany and I went to a Chinese New Year party today at UB. What fun! We learned that New Year's is China's biggest holiday, and it lasts 15 days! This year is the year of the pig, so Bethany's Chinese friends gave her a cute, glittery piggy bank. They also gave her some real Chinese money in a red "lai-see" envelope, which is supposed to bring good luck. We had a lot of fun learning what to do and not do during the New Year celebration!
1. Buy new clothes for the celebration!
2. Make sure you have enough food stored up so you don't have to go out shopping.
3. Don't buy shoes. (I guess shoe shares it's name with evil, so it's bad luck.)
4. Don't get your hair cut - it "cuts" your luck.
5. Don't sweep the floor - it sweeps away good fortune.
So now you know. 10 more days until the new year!

Bitter Biscuit
Ok, she's not actually eating a bitter biscuit, it's a biter biscuit. But I like to call it a bitter biscuit because it's funny and it annoys my husband. Bethany loves them, and eats them like a crazy person. (Hence the nakedness.)
Bethany learned how to half-clap today. She's got it down pat with her right hand, but her left thumb likes to get in on the action and messes her up. What can you do?

Grandma's Day!
Bethany spends every Monday afternoon with her grandma while Aunt Sarah heads off to school. Just now I got home and connected my camera to the computer to find pictures of Bethany!! Thanks, Grandma. Here's Bethany mid-wave. Probably not the best picture possible, but at least you get the idea. And here she is finally in our nice warm apartment. Man, is it cold out today!!P.S. I wrote this whole post, and then it suddenly occurred to me that it was probably Sarah who took those pictures. Ah well, thanks Sar!
