Who would've thought we'd end up with three beautiful girls? We're enjoying watching them learn and grow, and we love showing them off almost as much! Stay tuned, because our life moves fast!

Doctor, Doctor
Bethany had her one year check up today! She's 19lbs, 1oz, and 29.25 inches long. And, as usual, a very healthy baby! Granted, she did not enjoy the shot, but who does?

Birthday Cake
Bethany had a spring theme for her birthday party today. And see that amazing cake? Sarah and I made it all by ourselves. Aren't you impressed? (I know my Roberts girls are proud of me.) Bethany loved her first taste of actual junk food. She savored it quite a bit, which is good considering it won't happen again until year 2!
Here's all the party guests!

Birthday Field Trip
Bethany and I are having fun celebrating her birthday today. (She's getting the whole weekend - one is a big deal!) Her and Jonas went to... you guessed it, the zoo! We didn't see many animals this time because Bethany preferred walking the zoo and checking out all the kids. Yes, she walked the entire time and refused to be put in the stroller. Hey, it's her birthday, I let her do whatever she wants. But the gorilla came over to wish her a happy birthday - that alone made the trip worth it.

One Today!
Wow, I am so overwhelmed by all the comments! I love it! Little Bethany is one... can you believe it? I think this time last year I was finally getting to sleep after being so worked up all day. Matthew was so good to me, too. He stayed with me until I was barely conscious.
Anyway, Bethany celebrated a year of life today with a trip to Camp Pioneer with Uncle Mike and "Aunt" Mary. She got home to me around 5:00, and we spent the evening making her birthday cake! We let her open one present today, too. (As opposed to at her party on Saturday.) Here's her opening a present from Great Uncle Larry and Aunt Marie - a very soft, pink sweater. She loved it! Almost as much as the wrapping paper...

Pianist
Here's a little exercise for you. Tilt your head and watch this movie. For some reason it never occurred to us that you couldn't take a "portrait" film. Ah well, it won't happen again. Oh, and listen for the "gah."
PS. To all you Browns, this is coming from your side of the family for sure!
Gah!
Happy 1st birthday to cousin Ailey!!
No pictures for this post because I'm at school, but Bethany's saying her first word! Kind of. She points and says, "Gah!!" Usually with a lot of emphasis. I have no idea what "gah" means, but I'm guessing it's something like "look," or maybe "give." Anyway, she's saying it all the time and she's so stinking cute. I can't wait until the words really start coming.
Oh, and a tooth update for you. Bethany's 5th tooth is now in, on the bottom... they just keep coming!

Exploring!
Bethany is learning so much with her new-found mobility. She's learned how to work her Aunt Sarah's diaper genie thing, and it takes her 2 seconds to get to the toilet paper in the bathroom if someone leaves the door open. And, speaking of bathrooms, thanks to some training from Grandpa and Grandma, she now knows that if someone's in the bathroom all she has to do is slap on the door and they'll let her in, too. She's so smart.

Walk, Fall, and Walk Again
Bethany is growing less and less reliant on furniture to steady her while walking. She loves Aunt Sarah's because there's tons of space to walk around... and she definitely takes advantage of it. On a slightly different topic, I realized how big my girl was getting this morning when she walked out of her room to me!
