Wave Hello

I took Bethany to school with me this afternoon, after a yummy lunch at her Great Grandma Sirgey's. Before I knew it, she was waving at everyone who looked at her! What a smart girl. As you might expect, she was technically waving to herself, but everyone understood. Hopefully I'll be able to get some waving captured in some form of media, but today you'll have to settle for a very cute picture of my 2nd favorite baby in the world pretending to wave.

Basket O' Fun

Bethany and her grandpa discovered a new toy today - the laundry basket! Bethany had fun laying in it, crouching under it, and sitting in it. She tried pulling herself up on it, too, but it wasn't quite sturdy enough. Despite that, it entertained her plenty!

Doctor, Doctor

Bethany had her 9 month check-up today. She's happy and healthy. Not that I needed a doctor to tell me that. She's 16 some pounds, 28 inches... long and skinny. And we even got her some lotion that will hopefully help with those chapped cheeks. I almost forgot the best part - no shots! Which made it a very good visit for Bethany.

Snow Days

Winter has finally begun, and Bethany has the chapped cheeks to prove it. The poor girl walked all the way across campus with me yesterday in the freezing cold. She didn't complain at all, though, and I was laughing pretty hard trying to "snow plow" her stroller through the snow. Strollers are not built for snow!

M&M

Bethany became an M&M today! Isn't she the cutest?

Party!

Tonight we had a little Sabres party over at Sarah's. Bethany went dressed for the occasion, and enjoyed playing with all the Trinity folk. (Luckily for her, she didn't care too much about the game.)

PS. Bethany's 2nd tooth came through today!

Sledding!!!

Yay for snow! Today was the first time we were able to use the baby sled, and Bethany loved it!!! She kept trying to grab the snow, so I eventually forced mittens on her, but even that didn't ruin the trip for her. My baby's a Buffalonian for sure.

Baby Bethany

A day before Bethany turns 9 months, and I'm missing the baby who would just sit in my lap for hours. Most days I welcome the constant activity and smiles - today I just want to cuddle.

Back to School

My mother-in-law was up this past week, and my father-in-law, too, for the weekend. We had fun just hanging out most of the time - with a few Scrabble games, of course. Bethany was spoiled as usual. She got to walk around on Grandma's fingers whenever she pleased and had a few outings. Her favorite was a trip to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. She tried touching every painting, but settled for feeling the name plaques describing the painting. (The new background is one of our favorite pieces at the museum.)

Ooh, and another first this weekend. Bethany knows how to give kisses!!! She can't do it on demand yet, but she definitely knows what she's doing.

Is my girl tired, or what?

Flordia???

Bethany and I sat down to watch OSU kick Flordia's butt tonight. (Daddy was in Rochester watching it with his buddies.) By the end of the 1st quarter, Bethany was confused. What is going on?Then, at the end of the 3rd, I put a very unhappy baby to bed. The poor girl had to witness not only her 1st Buckeye loss, but the loss of a national championship. It's been a tough day.

New Year!!!

Bethany welcomed in the New Year watching the ball drop on tv. That's right, she stayed up until midnight, despite several attempts on my part to put her to bed. New Year's is just too exciting, I guess.

Today the two cousins are hanging out. I wish they were out walking, enjoying the WARM weather, but the rain just won't quit. So we're amusing ourselves doing arts and crafts. Jonas made a surprise for his mommy!!

Bath Toys

Bethany loves playing with her foam letters in the bath. We have fun sticking words up on the side of tub and making the letter noises. Pretty soon she start to actually know the letters... I'm sure that'll happen way too quickly for me.Here's a cuter picture of Bethany in her new dress.
