What kind of crap?

Ok, so Matthew and I were so excited that at the end of next month we were going to take Bethany to her first Ohio State game. That's right, WERE. Because some stupid rule requires that every human being in the stadium needs a ticket. Including Bethany, who has no idea what the heck is going on to even begin to enjoy it. By the way, Rule-Maker, you're not getting any extra money from that rule... you're losing money because we won't be purchasing any tickets to go to the game now. Thanks a lot. So I'm bummed, Bethany will have to wait a while now to experience the crazy excitement of an Ohio State game.

I scream, you scream

At some point this past week Bethany learned how to scream. High pitched, girly, LOUD screams. Not because she's angry or upset, but just because she's playing. Meanwhile, everyone standing within hearing distance is wondering what I'm doing to torture the poor girl.

Side note: Bethany showed signs of taking after her mother... she was very into what I was doing when I went to file for Matthew this week. She's going to be analytical (aka anal).

Give Peas a Chance

Bethany did not feel like giving peas a chance yesterday. Although she did keep eating them, which I don't understand.

I'm SOO tired, I don't know what to do

Bethany is gorgeous when she sleeps, isn't she?

High Chair!

We got Bethany the coolest high chair ever, and today was her first time eating a meal in it. Applesauce. Yummy!

For Grandpa Jon

We are officially considering this Bethany's first Calvin face picture (as in Calvin and Hobbes). And who's trying to tell me she doesn't look just like her dad?

Last Days of Summer

I had off of school yesterday, and Bethany and I took complete advantage of it. We headed downstairs, grabbed the stroller, and began walking. 3.5 miles later, we were at my grandma's house. We hung out there for a bit, had a yummy lunch, then loaded back up. Another 3.5 miles, and we were at my mom and dad's. We visited with Michael, and ended up going out to dinner with him and Matthew. Then we decided since it was getting dark we'd load up the stroller in the car and hitch a ride home with Matt. I'm going to miss our walks outside together!

5 Months Later...

My girl is getting so big. I know I say that pretty much every other post, but seriously. How is she growing so fast? She's practically sitting and crawling... it's crazy. Just yesterday she was trying to grab my sunchips from me and eat them. How old does she think she is?!

Happy Birthday, Great Gram!

This past Saturday we celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday! You wouldn't guess she's 80 by looking at her, tell you that. Bethany made her a "foot" painted (hence the huge mess a couple days ago), and we finally got her a bunch of pictures for her brag book.

Then, as you might imagine, little Bethany hung outside the casino while all the grown-ups ran in and lost all their money. (She's been to the casino more this summer than she will be for the next 18 years, I swear.) Late night!

Foot Painting

Bethany and I had some fun "foot" painting, and got to have some much needed quality time. (Granted, we still have a lot of time together, but it was nice to be focused totally on her.) The painting was MESSY! I'm determined to have her like getting messy. Like me. Not like her dad. It's much more entertaining if you're getting into messes. Makes for good pictures.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Sarah!!

I finally got to stay home for a few hours and just hang out with my daughter. I feel like I haven't had an afternoon like that in a while. Bethany was hilarious. Every time I tried to put her in her bouncer chair, this is what she did. She thought she was quite the comedian.

Chillax

This has been a tiring week, hasn't it? I didn't realize what a struggle juggling the baby and school would be, especially when I'm fighting a stupid cold. It's a good thing Bethany's not too much of a handful. Not yet, at least.

Some clips for you

Here's the video of Bethany and Ailey meeting, as well as Bethany's first time in a swing.

A year ago today

My little Bethany has gotten so big so fast. One year ago today was our first time "seeing" her. She was our little baby blob, and only 1 cm long! We put April 25th on our calendars... those 9 months went by quick. Now look at her, my goodness. If she keeps going at this rate she'll be a monster.

When cousins are two of a kind

Once again, Bethany and Ailey were able to hang out. Unlike last time, they were very interested in one another, and had a great time playing on the floor together. They're both getting so big! (And starting to look more and more like each other.) Just think, pretty soon they'll be talking to one another!

Big Sister

Bethany met her cousin, Evann, this weekend. She LOVED Evann's hair, and tried to grab it every chance she got. (Who can blame her, Evann's hair is awesome.) We're looking forward to Bethany having a big cousin to take care of her!

Go Bucks!

Well, I gave up on Verizon, and I copied all my pictures and brought them to my mom's house to blog.

Labor Day weekend was spent visiting family in Michigan. And Bethany saw the first Buckeye game of her life! We had lots of fun (we spent a lot of it taking pictures). I think that cute little Buckeye dress brought the team good luck.

Stupid Verizon

We spent the weekend in Michigan, and the whole way home I was getting pumped up to show you all the pictures I took. Turned on the computer, clicked the little Firefox button, and the page REFUSED to load. Stupid Verizon messed up our internet access. Now I have to wait until they find the time to get us working again. Until then, this page is not going to be updated. It's no fun without be able to include pictures!
