Doctor, Doctor

Bethany had her 2 year check-up on Friday. She did fairly well... hated getting weighed and measured, but was brave through the actual visit. It helps that there were no shots! She's up to 27 pounds, and is 34" tall. As usual, she's my healthy, strong girl.

Pillow Room

If you ever need to keep 2 kids inside who don't want to be inside, here's an idea. Take every pillow that you own, pile them all on the livingroom floor, and set the kids loose. I'm not kidding, this kept Bethany and Jonas entertained for almost an hour, which is quite an accomplishment!By the way, here's the end of our Columbus trip. Apparently, Bethany doesn't approve of her mom's singing.

Party #1

We had a nice little get together for Bethany down in Columbus with all the tree guys (Daddy's high school friends). I made her a flower/star cake, depending on who you asked! Either way, it tasted delicious. Grandpa and Grandma got Bethany lots of presents (she's very spoiled, or well-loved... I'm hoping usually the later)! She even got a bottle for her baby.

COSI Concluded

COSI had a toddler room, which was a great place to conclude our afternoon. I think Bethany would have spent the rest of the day on this slide. We took the opportunity for some family pictures before we left. I think these are the first pictures with all 4 of us!!

COSI Birthday

Bethany celebrated her birthday afternoon at COSI with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Miriam, and "Uncle" Andy C. (Lots of Andys, hence the initial.) She got right into the fun in the space exhibit, where she was able to throw around bouncy balls to see how spaceships slingshot around the moon. Not sure she understood that part of it...Then it was on to the Ocean exhibit, which was by far her favorite. She saw a submarine, and really wanted to be like the big kids and go inside. Maybe next year.
She also got to get good and wet playing with all the fountains! This fountain was the best!!
The gadget room was lots of fun. Bethany loved spinning these gears... especially because spinning one made all of them move.

To Keep You Occupied

dHere are a couple miscellaneous pictures! It's sandbox season again!

Birthday

Bethany's birthday has come and gone (although she still has another party on Friday), and still no pictures. Why? Because our camera decided to die (again) two days before her birthday. So if you're looking for an expensive belated present for Bethers, a camera would be nice. :) Thankfully, U.Mike and A.Mary were willing to give up their camera for the weekend, so pictures are coming, just a little delayed. Wait until you see all our COSI adventures!

Nail Polish

Bethany was very into her feet tonight. She had her mommy cut all her toenails, and still wasn't satisfied. So out came the nail polish! Check it out!

Potty Time

Bethany is starting to really enjoy her time on the potty, and she'll finally do it with no diaper. Too bad we still don't think she knows what she's there for!

Basket Hunt

Here's a little clip of her finding her Easter basket. (With a little help from everyone.)

Easter - The Week After

We all got together for another Easter celebration last weekend. Bethany and Jonas loved their Easter baskets! Bethany's favorite part was the bag of goldfish; she ate them right up. And, unlike Christmas, she didn't mind getting dressed up again.

Hideout

No one can ever accuse Bethany of being claustrophobic. The places she gets herself into are ridiculous.

Getting Anxious

I find myself really wanting my new baby today, so I putzed around on the baby pool for a little bit. (There's not a whole lot you can do to satisfy that urge.) You guys are pretty even in guessing if I'm having a boy or girl... almost exactly half and half. Looks like my baby will weigh anywhere from 6 pounds 1 ounce (Renee's guess) to 8lbs 14ozs (thanks a lot, Pete). Laura over at Matt's work is anxious too, giving me a Mother's Day baby, and my roomie Kara has it out for me making me wait until 5/29. If you haven't put in your guess already, do it now. We're already over 50 entries! I can't wait to give you the real stats!
