Sleeping Sisters

These girls are obviously sisters! Look at the way I found the 2 of them sleeping the other night! They sure love those tags.

The Joneses

We had so much fun playing with the Joneses all weekend (in between wedding commitments). I think Bethers developed a crush on Matthew... she's going for the older boys!

Wedding!

And, not so much. We started out the day getting ready with the bridesmaids. Bethany handled it all pretty well. (Although it took Grandma to actually get her hair up!) I should have known that those fingers, a sure signal of tiredness, would be a sign of trouble.
Poor Aunt Sarah has to carry both toddlers down the aisle, one on each hip! Then, as soon as she put them down with Grandpa and Grandma, they both burst into tears. Jonas because his mommy left him, and Bethany because I was about to take Jonas into the crying room. So, the three of us spent the entire ceremony in the crying room. I heard it was a beautiful wedding! (And they sure look great!)

When it was all said and done, Bethany practiced going up and down the aisle again. Figures. Maybe we'll have better luck next time.

Rehearsal

Could Bethany be proving me wrong? Look at them walking down the aisle so nice...

Camping Misadventures, Episode 2, Thursday

Wednesday night there was a very windy thunderstorm. So windy that our screenroom started blowing away! The stakes came right out of the ground! Poor Daddy and Mommy had to go out in the storm with the flashlight and take it down so that they didn't lose it. Bethany and I slept through it all. Because it was so gross out, Thurday was tent day!
Before we left, we did get to take a walk along Rondeau Bay, and get ice cream (again). And we got to enjoy one last campfire!

Piano Time

Bethany and Jonas enjoyed their time on the piano today. We may have a couple little Chopins on our hands.

Picnic

On the spur of the moment, our family took a trip to Columbus this weekend. Despite the last minute decision, we had a very busy weekend. Saturday we went to the park for a picnic lunch. How could we not when every 10 minutes Bethany asked, "Park?" And once again, Bekah slept through it.

Quilties for Fana

I know these aren't quite done yet (they need the tags!), but I just had to share them. Matthew and I are working on whipping up a bunch of quilties for the Fana babies, in honor of our cousin, Joey. I dream of every little Fana baby owning one of these... of course, goodness knows how many Fana babies there are! Want to help? Sponsor a quiltie or two! (The expense of making them is going to be the hardest part for us.) It costs about $12 for 3 quilties, and every quiltie is completely unique, as you can see in the picture. Email me at lisalaff@gmail.com if you're interested in sponsoring a quiltie.

Pillow Room

If you ever need to keep 2 kids inside who don't want to be inside, here's an idea. Take every pillow that you own, pile them all on the livingroom floor, and set the kids loose. I'm not kidding, this kept Bethany and Jonas entertained for almost an hour, which is quite an accomplishment!By the way, here's the end of our Columbus trip. Apparently, Bethany doesn't approve of her mom's singing.

Quiltie

I know this has nothing to do with Bethany, other than her being the inspiration for me starting to do this at all, but check out the very first completed quiltie! It passed the Bethany test and everything, which made me very excited. Perhaps it's on its way to Connecticut, or maybe Rochester. Who knows?

Easily Amused

Bethany cracks me up with the things that she gets into. She spent a good 20 minutes with this basket the other day, then her and Jonas were quite amused watching me through the baby gate!

Daddy's Little Sweetheart

This t-shirt was in Bethany's stocking just so she could wear it for her daddy's on Valentine's. Her and her dad had a lot of fun goofing around!

Snow Day

Bethany played outside in the snow! She was a little afraid at first, but when it was time to go inside, she didn't want to!

Say No to Napping

This looks like a little girl who needs a nap, right? Apparently not. Soon after this picture was taken there was a very unsuccessful attempt at putting her down to sleep. Bethany does not want to miss any of the fun, no matter how tired she is!

Gaitlinburg

While spending Thanksgiving in the Smokies, we managed to do some sightseeing. Aren't Bethany's boots the cutest? And with that, I am done posting about Thanksgiving and can move on to Christmas festivities. Yay!

The Browns

We traveled to Tennessee for our Thanksgiving holiday to see the entire Brown family. Bethany is still very attached to her cousin, Maddee! Maddee found her a bead necklace on our first day there, and Bethany had it around her neck the rest of the weekend. I think it was her favorite gift of the week!Bethany caught up with the rest of the family, too, including some Yahtzee time with Great Grandma, and her cousins, Evann and Ailey! She is so into dice. We were thankful for Bethany's good health this visit, and that she got to actually get within 10 feet of Ailey. They make quite a pair. Bethany's cousin, Sarah, got in some good reading time with her... and for some reason didn't make it on any of my pictures.
